I would recommend using this first page to cover important background information about your performer, performance group, or performance genre.  Talk about important influences, situations that made your subject's career possible... or that made your subject's career difficult.

If you've chosen an individual performer, you might  want to use this page to cover your subject's early years -- parents, childhood, education, and other important events before her/his career began.

This page should be five to ten paragraphs long.  If you have more information than that, continue on a new page.  Internet readers are an impatient breed.  They tend to dislike scrolling through long pages and resent the amount of time it takes to download a content-heavy page.
