President
The president, in addition to the many honorary and performative duties that go with that high
office does (or finds a delegate to do) the following:
- Register the Performance Interest Group with the Student Activities Office at the end of each long semester (Fall and
Spring)
- Attend the required Student Activities meeting in the Union at the beginning of the semester
- Pick up PIG mail in the Student Activities office at least once a month
- Attend at least one meeting of the Eagle's Nest a semester
Secretary/Vice President
The secretary or vice president of the PIGs (which ever one we have) is responsible for the following:
- Taking attendance at each PIGs meeting and forwarding that information to any instructor offering extra credit for
attendance
- Prepare, maintain and distribute a membership roll of PIG regulars. This roll should include information such as name,
address, e-mail address, phone number, and birthday.
- Assist the faculty advisor in preparing the PIG schedule of event each semester and posting that schedule to the PIG website
(Little things like making sure the dates don't run backwards would be appreciated)
Special Events Coordinator
Being the happy, snappy, let's have a party tribe that we are, we also
have an official position to take care of the following duties:
- Plan and co-ordinate any special trips or gatherings
- Create some sort of recognition for PIG birthdays and/or graduations
- Generally take care of any Big Cookie Occasions that may arise
Awards Committee
The above officers also form an awards committee to recognize PIG achievements. The awards committee would be
responsible (along with the sage council of the faculty advisor) for determining the following:
- End of the year/semester awards for as many of the members as we can think of
- Election of an Outstanding Member to receive a Student Activities Organization's Outstanding Member award
- Recommendation of a member to receive a Lisa Woody Scholarship award.
