Jenny Warren, adjunct
professor at UNT, is a recent graduate of the Communication Studies Masters
program in Rhetoric. A native of
St. Joseph
,
Missouri
, Jenny earned her Bachelor’s degree at
Arizona
State
University
in
Tempe
, graduating in 1999. Jenny’s primary area of research has dealt with the
rhetorical constructions of females and female athletes within contemporary
sports media, particularly radio broadcasts. Recently, her interest has moved
slightly toward the construction of a classroom, more specifically how to create
a college classroom most conducive to a productive adult learning environment.
Jenny is currently working on research that attempts to identify and explicate a
unique concept known as “the living syllabus.”
In addition to teaching the Argument and
Rhetoric class at UNT, Jenny teaches Introduction to Basic Communication
Principles, Public Speaking & Oral Communication at Texas Women’s
University in
Denton
,
Collin
County
College
in Plano & Dallas County College in Farmer’s Branch. Additionally,
she is currently building a client base for a new Communication
Consulting Firm that specializes
in corporate training in the areas of presentation
training, executive coaching, intercultural communication training &
leadership development training.
