President -Sarah Traylor
The president assumes responsibility (or delegates
responsibility for) the following:
- Register the Performance Interest Group with the Student
Activities Office at the end of each long semester (Fall and
Spring)
- Attend the required Student Activities meeting in the Union
at the beginning of the semester
- Pick up PIG mail in the Student Activities office at least
once a month
- Attend at least one meeting of the Eagle's Nest a semester
Secretary/Vice President - Jessica Royce/Blake McDaniel
The Secretary/Vice president of the PIGs is responsible for
the following:
- Taking attendance at each PIGs meeting and forwarding that
information to any instructor offering extra credit for attendance
- Prepare, maintain and distribute a membership roll of PIG
regulars. This roll should include information such as name,
address, e-mail address, phone number, and birthday.
- Assist the faculty advisor in preparing the PIG schedule
of event each semester and posting that schedule to the PIG
website (Little things like making sure the dates don't run
backwards would be appreciated)
Special Events Coordinator
The special events coordinator is responsible for the following
duties:
- Plan and co-ordinate any special trips or gatherings
- Create some sort of recognition for PIG birthdays and/or
graduations
- Generally take care of any Big Cookie Occasions that may
arise
Awards Committee
The officers also form an awards committee to recognize PIG
achievements. The awards committee is responsible (along with
the sage council of the faculty advisor) for determining the
following:
- End of the year/semester awards for members
- Election of an Outstanding Member to receive a Student
Activities Organization's Outstanding Member award
- Recommendation of a member to receive a Lisa Woody Scholarship
award
