Dr. Pratibha Shukla  
  Social Construction of Health: Using a Discursive Approach to Understanding Health.  
Dr. Shukla's research focus is on health communication and intercultural/international communication. She has over 10 research papers on various issues concerning health communication. Prior to coming to US she worked in the feild of International Health for ten years and collaborated with several international development agencies.  Last summer she did a consultancy with UNDP (United Nations Development Program) which is a part of the United Nations Organization on developing communication strategy for removing barriers in health behavior adoption

Different Archives, Different Values: Photographic Realism and Panoramic Perspectives on America ’s Concentration Camps

 
Dr. Lain's research examines the intersection between American and Japanese culture, specifically in the areas of public address, argumentation, and visual rhetoric.  His recent research examined the public memory and the internment of Japanese Americans during World War II.
