Ruth Bowman Dr. Ruth Bowman, (Associate Professor, Louisiana State University) was the guest speaker for the 2006 convention.  She presented a "textshop" that introduced the practice of performative writing and encouraged participants to experiment with alternate methods for presenting research.

March 2005

Ruth Bowman Dr. Myra Allen, (Associate Professor, University of Arkansas at Fayetteville) was the guest speaker for the 2005 convention.  Her keynote address challenged Communications Studies majors to find ways of bringing their knowledge back to their communities.
